Chilton Grove is a medium to large, local‑authority‑managed residential building with multiple entrances and a high level of daily footfall. The objective of the project was to enhance safety, security, and ease of access for all residents.
Silk & Mackman designed, supplied, and installed a full Entrotec Audio Door Entry system, integrated with cloud‑based KMS fob access control to provide secure, reliable entry management across the property.
To further strengthen the building’s physical security, we installed multiple powder‑coated Jansen steel‑section doors and frames. Each door set was fitted with emergency override facilities, fail‑safe locking mechanisms, push‑to‑exit buttons, and additional emergency fail‑safe release points to ensure full compliance and resident safety.
Maylie House and Trotwood House are smaller, local‑authority‑managed residential buildings that serve close‑knit communities. Both properties needed a dependable, easy‑to‑use access system that would support residents while strengthening day‑to‑day security.
Silk & Mackman introduced a new Entrotec Audio Door Entry system across both buildings, supported by KMS cloud‑based fob access. This gives residents a simple, consistent way to enter their homes and provides management with clear oversight.
We also installed new Jansen steel‑section doors and frames, designed for long‑term durability. Each entrance features emergency override functions, fail‑safe locking, and accessible exit controls, ensuring residents feel safe, supported, and protected.
St Saviours Estate consists of 12 residential blocks of varying scale, from compact single‑entrance buildings to larger multi‑access properties. The estate required a coordinated security programme that could be applied consistently across all blocks while accommodating their individual layouts.
